The private lives of actors, models and celebrities are definitely an interesting subject to cover. There's no surer way for them to steal our attention (and the paparazzi's) than by showing up somewhere with a gorgeous furry friend.

Dogs of every breed, shape and size have long fascinated us (and for good reason). They're said to reflect the looks, manners and personality of their owners. Dogs offer an insight into their human companions, which often makes them a valuable inside source for upcoming albums or unreleased films. Just think what they know. Besides, they're simply adorable.

For that reason, in today's article we've decided to introduce you to 7 celebrities and their furry friends!

Emily Ratajkowski and Colombo

Emily Ratajkowski's dog, Colombo, has been a permanent fixture in the model's social media photos ever since she first welcomed him into her small family in May 2019. Since then, the model has been spotted with Colombo, a Husky and German Shepherd mix, on the streets of New York.

Billie Eilish and Shark

In April 2020, Billie Eilish officially welcomed her puppy Shark into her family after adopting him during the pandemic. Since then, the singer hasn't been shy about showing off her furry friend on her Instagram profile, capturing all their beautiful everyday moments together and often expressing her deep affection for him.

On his first birthday, Eilish posted a touching tribute to Shark on Instagram, writing: "My sweet rescue boy was born a year ago today… You've made my life 1,000 times better, happy birthday!".

Cara Delevingne and Alfie

The model and her pet Alfie are very close, and Alfie is rarely far from Delevingne, including in her Instagram posts. From cuddles in bed to trips away and countless selfies, the bond between Delevingne and Alfie is delightfully clear.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Panda, Diana and Gino

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband Nick Jonas have quite a large family, made up of their little daughter and three wonderful dogs.

Panda, the newest addition to the family, Diana and Gino (who was given to the actress by her husband for their first wedding anniversary), all of whom have their own Instagram pages, are clearly equal and much-loved members of this famous family.

Kendall Jenner and Pyro

Kendall Jenner first showed off her pet Pyro, a Doberman Pinscher, on Instagram in 2018. Since then, Pyro has accompanied the model on many trips, as well as in a number of advertising campaigns.

Ariana Grande and Toulouse, Canela, Coco, Lafayette, Myron, Ophelia, Pignoli, Sirius and Strauss

If there's one celebrity who truly loves dogs, it's Ariana Grande. The singer is a proud parent to nine adopted dogs — Toulouse, a Beagle-Chihuahua mix; Canela, a Pit Bull mix; Coco, a Dachshund-German Shepherd mix; a hound named Lafayette; a mixed breed named Myron; Ophelia, a chocolate Labradoodle; a Chihuahua mix named Pignoli; Sirius, a Labradoodle; and a mixed breed named Strauss. Ariana Grande said in an interview with Billboard: "my mission is to help as many homeless dogs as I can by finding them loving families who will cherish them."

Meghan Markle and Pula

Although she may not be one of the couple's more famous pets and is rarely photographed, Meghan Markle's black Labrador, whom she shares with Prince Harry, certainly has a strong claim to the title of most charming pet name. As reported by People, the name of the furry family member the Duke and Duchess rescued shortly after marrying in 2018 remained a mystery for a long time, with the couple themselves saying on several occasions that people kept "getting her name wrong".

One of many revelations later came from the biography written by veteran royal journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Finding Freedom, in which the royal pup's name appeared. Named Pula, People reports that the Labrador shares her name with Botswana's official currency, as well as the word for "rain" in Tswana — a Bantu language spoken by around 4,000,000 people in South Africa, Botswana and elsewhere.
