Online consultation with a vet
A video or chat meeting with a vet
Instant (SOS Vet)
You choose the channel — video or chat — and you can consult for 30 minutes from the moment the first participant enters the virtual room. In the chat channel you can attach photos and videos. On a video connection, use your phone's camera to show whatever you want to share.
Scheduled online consultation
You book it through the "Book now" button and by choosing the "Scheduled online consultation" service. You receive an SMS and an email with a link you can use to enter the virtual room. The room is open for 30 minutes. A Scheduled online consultation is always by video.
When is an instant online consultation the right choice?
Emergencies
When your pet's condition calls for a quick response but you don't know what to do, there is no veterinary practice open and you can't get there right now. Examples of such situations — vomiting, an upset stomach, a listless and unhappy pet, bites from insects or other animals, and many more.
You have a new baby pet
Until they are fully vaccinated, baby pets should not go outside or be around other animals. You have so many questions, and a visit to a veterinary practice isn't advisable. Use an online consultation.
Prevention
Every species and breed of pet has its own particular weak points. Do you know what your pet's are, and what you could do to delay their onset and prevent complications?
Feeding your pet properly
Feeding is key to keeping your pet healthy and long-lived. Do you know how to move from one type of food to another? Are you feeding your pet in the way that suits them best?
Unusual behaviour, skin problems and more
Sometimes our furry friends behave oddly, but you can't match the symptoms to any particular condition. Is your pet coughing? Wheezing? Why are they howling? Why do they keep licking their paws, or other parts of their body? A vet will identify possible causes and give you guidance on the next steps.
All sorts of other topics and questions
If you have any question at all about your pet and there is a vet available for an instant consultation, don't hesitate. Book an SOS Vet consultation and get the advice you're looking for.

Health questions, feeding, prevention and more
Scheduled online consultations give the vet a chance to prepare for them, which makes the meeting more efficient in terms of how long it takes.
More useful information?
How do I prepare?
During the call or chat you can ask questions of any kind and use the camera to show whatever is worrying you or you want to share. Most importantly, you are getting information from a qualified vet, because no two conditions are exactly alike.
What should I expect from the vet?
Based on the information you give them, the vet can advise you on what you could do with what you have to hand, if that is an option. They may recommend a visit to a veterinary practice for an in-person examination and/or further tests. That still counts as an online consultation.
Will I get any conclusion from the consultation?
Once the meeting ends, you will receive the consultation report by email and directly in your pet's health record, with recommendations on what to do next. The vet may also attach a photo of a prescription to it, if special medication needs to be bought from a veterinary pharmacy.
How long does the consultation last
The time allotted for an online consultation is 30 minutes and starts running from the moment the first participant enters the virtual room.
