This "criminal's" mugshot might be the funniest, cutest thing you'll see today
An American Shorthair cat in Bangkok recently made the news after being comically "arrested" by police officers during her rescue, complete with a mugshot and even paw prints for the record. A simple rescue quickly turned into a hilarious story and went viral online.
Named Nub Tang (literally "counting money" in Thai), the feisty cat bit and scratched several police officers on arrival at the station, prompting a funny Facebook post from Officer Da Parinda Pakeesuk about pressing charges... against a cat.

A kind stranger brought her to Officer Da Parinda Pakeesuk, hoping the police could help find her owner.

"A kind person brought the cat to me while I was at work. They didn't give me any details, just said the cat looked lost and asked if I could help find her owner. I was a bit puzzled. What should I do? I decided to post her photos in a few Facebook groups and on my own page," Da Parinda Pakeesuk told Bored Panda.
But before the cat could settle into her new temporary home, she turned into a real drama queen, biting and scratching the officers trying to help her. That's exactly what earned her a mugshot.

Following the mugshot, Officer Da Parinda Pakeesuk posted a photo of herself taking the cat's "fingerprints", and the internet exploded!

"At first I didn't think much of it. I just wanted the cat to be reunited with her family. I put up a Facebook post. It wasn't that hard. But a day later, when I opened Facebook, I was stunned by what had happened. So many people had shared the post."
The officer woke up to hundreds of messages. Some wanted to adopt her, others just wanted to know more about the "criminal cat".

Officer Da Parinda Pakeesuk told Bored Panda she was stunned by how many people shared the post and showed interest. "I'm so grateful to everyone. Many wanted to adopt the cat, probably because she's cute and a good breed. But I told them there are also plenty of stray cats on the streets. If you're a genuine cat lover, consider adopting one of them – they're just as lovely. This cat, though, needs to go back to her rightful owner. She must miss them a lot, and her owner is probably looking for her too. So I started going through the many messages to find her real owner."

Amid the chaos, someone got in touch with a perfect description — every last detail.
"Finding the real owner wasn't that hard. I asked them to tell me the story and describe the cat's unique features, since every cat has different ones. I also showed them the photos they'd sent me, along with the place where their cat had gone missing."
Reunited at last, the cat went home to her real family after spending one unforgettable night in police custody.
